The Cypressa story goes back more than half a century. Set up by 3 brothers who prided themselves on outstanding local produce. The brothers moved to the UK in the early 50’s due to the rise in demand for authentic mediterranean produce.
As the product range expanded, the story was lost and the ranges became more disparate in their design. We were asked to reposition the brand and bring the portfolio back together under a common story.
Our approach was to bring the family back to the forefront. Not many brands have such a rich, proud heritage. Family symbolises trust, passion and warmth. This is something that we felt could help differentiate Cypressa from the competition.
We updated the logotype to be more ‘modern mediterranean’ and upweighted the pedigree and family story in the master logo. The packs, inspired by the original packing crates create a strong brand architecture and cue ‘good enough to put our name to’.
